Christopher Ulp was the second person admitted to the inaugural class of 1992 at the University of Delaware, Hotel, and Restaurant Management Program. He has taken additional classes in order to acquire a strong influence in Business Administration and Spanish.
Chris has been in the hospitality industry since age 11. The first ten years out college, he was part of the opening management team for three Ruby Tuesday restaurants and two "Rib-It" restaurants in New Jersey. This was a truly hands on experience from learning and coaching staff, gaining HVAC knowledge to staff training and hiring Chris was involved with all initial ordering and establishment of systems to ensure the success of execution of daily business of the restaurants.
An alcohol beverage distribution company located in New Castle, Delaware currently employs Chris as a consultant for restaurants located from Newark to Wilmington. Chris became part of the Board of Directors for the Hospitality Association at the University of Delaware in August 2002. He will be working with board members to assist in implementing our goals in becoming a strong networking alumni association.
