Paula Frechette, CCM is a 1992 cum laude graduate from the University of Delaware Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Management Program. She was recruited by Baltimore Country Club following graduation and spent six years at BCC in various capacities as Dining Room Supervisor, Assistant Clubhouse Manager and Clubhouse Manager. In 1997, Paula moved to Hobe Sound, Florida as Clubhouse Manager for the exclusive Jupiter Island Club. Upon graduation from Palm Beach Atlantic College with her Masters in Business Administration, Paula was recruited to Philadelphia Cricket Club as Assistant General Manager. Ten months later, she was recruited as General Manager for Vicmead Hunt Club in Greenville, Delaware returning to her native state.
In 1997, Paula received her CCM (Certified Club Manager) designation from the Club Manager's Association of America and has been actively involved on both local boards and national committees throughout her career. She is a board member of the CMAA International Wine Society, and has participated as a member of the CMAA Certification Committee and the CMAA Chapter Member Services Committee. This Committee continues to distribute a brochure authored by Ms. Frechette on "How to Develop an Internship Program" for club managers interested in developing programs for students. Paula has been actively involved with student programs since her days at University of Delaware. She was a founding member of the Club Manager's Association student chapter at the university and has worked with internship programs both in Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Florida, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Paula is currently serving on the alumni association board for CHEP (College of Human Services and Public Policy) and as Secretary for the Hospitality Alumni Association at the University of Delaware. She continues to be involved at the university in various ways including lecturing on club management as a guest speaker.
